Tacroz Forte is prescribed for alleviating the symptoms associated with eczema (atopic dermatitis; a skin condition that leads to dryness, itchiness, and the occasional appearance of red, scaly rashes) in individuals who are unable to use other treatments or whose eczema has not improved with alternative medications. Tacroz Forte belongs to a category of drugs known as topical calcineurin inhibitors.
It functions by inhibiting the immune system's production of substances that may trigger eczema. Tacroz Forte is available as an ointment intended for application to the skin, typically administered twice daily to the affected areas. To help establish a routine, it's recommended to apply Tacroz Forte around the same times each day. Carefully adhere to the instructions on your prescription label, and consult your doctor or pharmacist if there is anything you do not comprehend. Use Tacroz Forte strictly as directed; do not adjust the dosage or frequency without consulting your doctor.
To apply the ointment, follow these instructions: Start by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water. Ensure that the skin in the affected area is dry. Spread a thin layer of Tacroz Forte over all affected regions of your skin. Gently and completely rub the ointment into your skin. After application, wash your hands with soap and water to remove any excess Tacroz Forte. If you are treating your hands with Tacroz Forte, do not wash them. You can cover the treated areas with regular clothing, but avoid using bandages, dressings, or wraps. Take care not to remove the ointment from the treated areas of your skin. Avoid swimming, showering, or bathing right after applying Tacroz Forte.
